Unipal 2015

The Himalayas Unicycle Tour was a resounding success, with 28 riders from around the world taking on the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal.  This is our biggest ever organised unitour, with 28 riders from 9 different countries taking part. As well as our riders, we had a huge support crew, and contingent of 50!

    Hello There.

    i have the followin questions:

1- Does the fee cover plane tickets?.
2- I am in china and i can get there by land, is it possible (if answer to 1 is yes) to deduct this fare?
3- My experience with unicycling is reduced can i still join?

    Thanks.

It is the responsibility of all the riders to get to the start point. We have riders coming from all over the world, it’s not possible to organise airtickets for anyone.

    Hello,

I wanna carry my unicycle in a suitcase. Is there any storage places around the airport so I can leave it there, picking it up when I go back home ?

    Thanks !

About the plane tickets, what is the best hour / day to arrive and leave Kathmandu? For someone doing the 4 days extension, or not.

    Thanks Ken !

I wouldn’t think Kathmandu Airport has storage places, and if it did, I would most certainly not leave it there! It’s quite a chaotic airport.

We’ll see if it’s possible to keep luggage in store at the hotel we are staying at in Kathmandu, or a suitable alternative, which will probably be your best bet. It will be useful for the group as it saves our porters from carrying unnecessary gear.

With regards to flying in to Kathmandu, I don’t think there is a particular time of day…it depends what flights you can get. I’ll be flying in a few days early. In terms of flying out- please check the second Unipal Update email I sent you…it has the details there. I’ll post it out to everyone again in my next update.

Still working on it. May be early 2017 for an NZ Tour, but we’ll be doing a small trip back to Iceland after Unicon.

Holy shit, if you guys do an NZ tour, I’d be keen AF!

I’m in Australia and was very sad to not have been able to do the Annapurna trip. I’ve wanted to do a trip like this for a long time. So close to home in NZ would be great!
